How do I know if I qualify?
Please answer the following 3 questions to determine initial eligibility. If you think you qualify, please print, fill out and mail to us the Questionnaire found in Step 3 below.
PLEASE NOTE: We have decided not to accept any new gas lease cases after September 15, 2010. We believe several of the allegations against the gas companies may be barred by the Statute of Limitations after 10/14/10. You should send us the completed Questionnaire and other requested information before September 15, 2010 if you believe you qualify and if you want us to take your case.
1. Did you sign a lease on or before October 14, 2008 and receive payment for the entire signing bonus amount?
If NO, continue to question 2.
If YES, you do not qualify (if you have questions about royalty payments, please click here).
2. Do you own land within the areas in North Texas that we are accepting cases from?
At present time, we are only accepting cases involving land in certain parts of North Texas, specifically the following areas only:
- (a) property owners in Tarrant County
- (b) property owners in Johnson County
If YES, continue to question 3.
If NO, you do not qualify at this time. (Visit our web site in the future for updates concerning the types of claims we might accept in the future.)
3. Did you own property in one of the two counties identified in Question 2 above at some time during the year 2008?
If NO, you do not qualify.
If YES, you may qualify.NOTE: There are TWO WAYS to qualify and you may still qualify even if you have already signed a mineral rights lease:
I. NO LEASE AGREEMENT SIGNED EVEN AS OF TODAY.
We will investigate your case based on your completed Questionnaire (see link below) if you provide it to us by September 15, 2010 and we will provide a written assessment of your case at no charge or obligation to you within two weeks of receiving the completed Questionnaire if you still have not signed a mineral rights lease as of today.II. LEASE AGREEMENT SIGNED AFTER OCTOBER 14, 2008.
We will investigate your case based on your completed Questionnaire if you provide it to us by September 15, 2010 and we will provide a written assessment of your case at no charge or obligation to you within two weeks of receiving the completed Questionnaire if you signed a mineral rights lease AFTER October 14, 2008 for the property you owned in JOHNSON or TARRANT County in 2008 if you provide us with a copy of the lease you signed and provide all the other information requested in the QUESTIONNAIRE (see link below).

If you agree to the terms of this contract, initial the bottom of each page, and sign and date the contract on page 7. In addition, you must list the address of the property the Firms have been retained to represent. If you own multiple properties a separate contract must be executed for each property that you seek to be represented. In addition, if you are married each spouse must execute a separate contract. Please return the executed contract(s) along with the Questionnaire by September 15, 2010.
ONCE WE RECEIVE THE COMPLETED QUESTIONNAIRE AND SIGNED ATTORNEY-CLIENT AGREEMENT, WE WILL VERIFY THAT YOUR ADDRESS AND OTHER DETAILS ARE WITHIN OUR CRITERIA BEFORE TAKING FURTHER ACTION.
It is very important that you provide this information to us before September 15, 2010 because we have decided not to accept any new gas lease cases after September 15, 2010.
